Organisational consultancy
Marie Kane & Associates helps individuals, teams and organisations engage in ‘the double task’ - reviewing their work and also how they carry out the work (a more neglected aspect of organisational functioning). She has designed and facilitated a range of organisational interventions - e.g. enabling more effective joint working at senior management level in a large national third sector organisation (successful work which was subsequently described as by their HR Director as a “watershed moment” for that organisation). Marie is experienced in facilitating these events in a range of different sectors, and her clients include NDPBs (Non Departmental Public Bodies); university teams, local government teams and voluntary sector organisations. She is currently working with a Regional Team of a large national voluntary organisation and with the Senior Management Team of a Scottish educational institution. Marie has a specialist research interest in organisational and group dynamics, has published on these themes and delivered several papers at OPUS international Conferences on Organisational and Social Dynamics (www.opus.org.uk).

She is a member of the organisational consultancy team of the Scottish Institute of Human Relations and has directed and been a staff member of several Scottish Institute of Human Relations group relations conferences.
